The Annual Clash between in-state rivals of the Clemson University Tigers and the University of South Carolina Gamecocks on the Football Field will be Saturday Nov 30, 2013 at Williams-Brice Stadium in Columbia, South Carolina. I am certain some Very Nice Eye Candy will abound !
Thanksgiving Dinner at VFW POST 2485, Angeles City, Philippines. Join us there if you can for the Best Thanksgiving Vittles in Town.
Duke Lafferdy certainly can not blame the Ole Ball Coach (University of South Carolina Gamecocks Head Football Coach Steve Spurrier) for checking out the Mechanics of the Hott Babe about to throw a pass. The Ole Ball Coach is a former Heisman Trophy Winning Quarterback so that’s only the proper thing to do. By the way, the Gamecocks defeated the Florida Gators by a score of 19 to 14 this past Saturday to improve their record to 8-2 out of 10 games this season. I tune in and listen live to the games here in the Philippines (13 hours ahead now) usually on Sunday mornings. I had mapped out the three things that must happen for the South Carolina Gamecocks to clinch the SEC East Championship. 1. Defeat the Florida Gators. They did. 2. The Auburn Tigers defeat the Georgia Bulldogs. They did. 3. The Missouri Tigers lose to either the Ole Miss Rebels or the Texas A&M Aggies in the final 2 games on their schedule. This one remains to be seen, however, Johnny Football and the Texas A&M Aggies are looking Good. If Missouri loses one of these two games then the Gamecocks will face the SEC West Champs for the SEC Conference Championship and a trip to the Sugar Bowl. Go Gamecocks !!!
Now this Hott Babe is my type of QB ! Can I play Defensive End and be the one to tackle her? Please, Please Please Coach?
Happy Veteran’s Day to all of my Fellow U.S. Veterans and Thank You for your Service to our Country. Many Thanks also to all of our Families, Friends and Supporters. Please join us today at VFW POST 2485 if you can for our ceremonies of remembrance and celebration. We also thank our friends and allies from the Philippines, Australia, New Zealand, the United Kingdom, Canada and others and invite you all to join us as well. As you can see from the pic above the Filipinas still think a lot of “Old Glory” and they do remember all that we have done for them, especially the elder Filipinos. With that in mind I ask that you join with “Your Liberty Buddy” in sending your thoughts, prayers and donations to the people devastated by the recent typhoon. Many people in this area of the Philippines have Family and Friends that are down south in the region devastated by the typhoon. Please see the “Red Cross Philippines” website for specifics on how to donate. I have provided the link here: http://www.redcross.org.ph/donate

Welcome to the Personnel Office (a.k.a.my Bio Page). It’s here that I
will give you all look into my background, origin and history as well as a little insight into my character. My name is Duke Lafferdy and I’ll
tell you a little about my development over the years into “Your Liberty Buddy” and the Salty Dawg Fleet Sailor that I am. I grew up in rural
southeastern Florence County, South Carolina near the town of
Johnsonville in the Pee Dee Region of SC. I was raised on the farm and
also spent a lot of time at nearby Myrtle Beach and the Grand Strand
Region of SC. The outdoors, hunting, fishing, the beach and the ocean
are all big parts of my Salty DNA. I come from a family of military
service. My maternal Grandpa was in the U.S. Army and wounded by a bomb
blast in the attack on Pearl Harbor, Hawaii on Dec 7, 1941. I had
great-uncles in the Army that fought in and survived the North
Africa/Italy and Battle of the Bulge Campaigns as well as one in the
USMC who survived the Battle of Iwo Jima. My Dad has cousins who served
in the U.S. Army wounded in Korea and Vietnam. My Mom has cousins who
served in the Army, Navy and Air Force including USN and USAF Retirees.
My Dad served in the South Carolina Army National Guard. I have a son
who served in the USN at NAB Little Creek VA, aboard the USS Benfold
DDG-65 and with Special Operations Command in Bahrain. Growing up in the country and with my interests in hunting and firearms it seemed that
the Army would be my service. This was reinforced by trips to Fort
Jackson and Fort Bragg that always peaked my interest and of course my
Dad, Grandpa and a majority of cousins also having served in the Army. I then turned 16 years young. I had a high school buddy one year older
than me. My school chum convinced his parents to sign permission papers
and he joined the Army at age 17. I liked his plan and decided to do the same. In fact I attempted to join at 16, however, the recruiters said
that was not possible. I began to talk with my cousins about their
experiences in the services so that I would have an idea of what to
expect. I had also begun talking to all of the services’ recruiters upon their visits to the high school. Something started to become clear. The cousins that had served in the Navy had much more interesting and
exciting stories. The same thing with the recruiters. Petty Officer
Green’s Sea Stories easily trumped all of the other services’ recruiters plus he seemed to have a genuine interest in recruiting me that the
others didn’t. The Sea Stories that I heard from the Navy Recruiters and my cousins certainly had my attention. Tales of Liberty spent in
California in the 70’s and early 80’s, So-Cal, Valley Girls, L.A., San
Francisco, San Diego, European Women, Topless Beaches on the Riviera in
the Mediterranean Sea, Leggy Scandinavian Ladies, The Orient, Exotic
Asian Women, The Western Pacific, Sexy Island Girls and the Australian
Shielas. All of whom loved American Servicemen they said. Bingo !!!
That’s the service that I wanted to join. I finished up my high school
early and took the oath of enlistment into the USN at age 17. The
Adventure Begins !
